The Art of Silver

Taxco, Guerrero

In the mountains of Guerrero, Mexico, lies the town of Taxco. For generations, its artisans have devoted themselves to the mastery of a single precious material. Silver. A tradition shaped by hand, refined through time, and passed from one generation to the next. Here, silver is more than a precious metal. It is an expression of artistry, identity, and heritage. Every curve, every detail, every carefully considered form carries the knowledge of those who came before.

A Legacy in Silver

In the early twentieth century, Taxco entered a new chapter in its history.

With the arrival of architect and designer William Spratling, the town experienced a renaissance in silversmithing. Drawing inspiration from Mexico's artistic heritage, Spratling worked alongside local craftsmen to establish a new tradition of silver design.

What began in a small workshop grew into a celebrated artistic movement.

Generations later, Taxco remains a place where tradition and creativity meet, and where the beauty of silver continues to take shape in the hands of skilled artisans.
